Winter Walk.
We had a very good turnout for the winter walk, glorious sunshine (as ordered) was a welcome respite from the rain. We started from Ham Common & walked through the nature reserve which was a bit muddy & wet, assisting each other along the way & all arrived safely at Lake pier. Travelling on & taking in some of the local sights - cannon balls in the wall of a cottage, reputed to have been made in the foundries of Poole & recovered from the harbour. Also, a mini Stonehenge in a garden along the way. We ended the walk at a pub on Poole Quay for a very enjoyable lunch.

Our container (store) arrives!
The container arrived today. It arrived on a great big lorry & we were all curious to see how the driver was going to crane it over the fence & into the position where we wanted it. I must admit there were a few of us who didn't think he would be able to do it, but we were proved wrong & he made it look very easy, which I'm sure it wasn't. We can now start to fill it!!!

Arne walk.
Pictures of the Arne peninsular walk today Sat 23.2.19. We had a good turnout of shed men & partners for the walk in beautiful surroundings, with stunning views. The weather was kind to us & we had a mild sunny day. We only had a minor hiccup while walking along the beach, the tide was somewhat higher than realised & we had to negotiate a tree stump which was blocking our route, thankfully we all climbed safely over with a little help from each other. We ended the walk in the RSPB cafe & gift shop for refreshments & a well earned rest.
