Poole Lantern Parade.
Poole Men's Shed led the Lantern Parade again this year.
The shed men were dressed as snowmen carrying umbrellas protecting them from a "snowstorm".
This was well organised by shed member Peter Dryden.
All the children had lovely homemade lanterns & everyone enjoyed mince pies at the carol singing outside Poole Guildhall.
The event was a great success. Thanks to all our volunteer snowmen.

Visit to Henstridge Airfield.
Henstridge airfield was originally a wartime Fleet Air Arm training site, designated HMS Dipper.
After the war Henstridge was taken over by private individuals and has been an active airfield in one form or another ever since!
Several of our members (pictured above) visited the "Wings & Wheels" event.
Thursday 9th August 2018.
Bristol Balloon Fiesta.
A few pics of the balloon fiesta jolly.
We stopped on the outskirts of Bristol for a carvery lunch which was very enjoyable, & then carried on after lunch to the balloon fiesta.
Plenty to see & do there. Rob managed to find a stall to sample some cheese, he was then showing off his cow milking skills.
Sadly the weather was against us & it was too windy for the balloons to fly. Luckily the wind dropped in the evening to allow the balloon glow to take place.
This was a spectacular event in its own right, enjoyed by everyone & worth the trip just to see it.
We arrived home late & tired, it was a long day but well worth the trip.
